In which a bunch of authors & editors are invited to answer the question: How do you deal with creative exhaustion?
Author and commentator Charles A. Tan here neglects to mention his World Fantasy Award nomination this year – but DOES explain how he gets so much done. (Note to self: find more to do!)
I switch from one creative project to another. Instead of writing, I might do be editing, working on comics, doing eBook layouts, conducting interviews, or just plain reading, etc. I can also switch genres, writing nonfiction instead of fiction, or reading horror instead of science fiction, etc.
Charles Tan blogs at Bibliophile Stalker and the Best of Philippine Speculative Fiction 2009 and the Philippine Speculative Fiction Sampler.
