“I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid”
This from the Shadow Forest Authors website, whose goal is to stop global illiteracy. (They could, er, perhaps consider the intermediary goal of re-coding how their website pages open — always in new windows.)
One of the major beneficiaries is The Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation, an independent & tax-deductible charity. I mention all this because it’s always reassuring to do some homework before parting with cash OR books.
I wonder if being able to read the opening sentence (above) means we are more or LESS literate? ;)
